GEOFF DAY
Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA)
Geoff went straight into accountancy on leaving school, first with a firm of Chartered Accountants in London, before switching to Management Accountancy with the Lafarge Group, also in London, where he was made the youngest management accountant of a subsidiary. After a few years he moved to a position in the Philips Group of companies before taking several years away from accountancy to pursue other interests. Geoff went on to study building at Croydon College in the 1990’s and qualified as an associate member of the CIOB to specialise in Industrial Surveying, before being made redundant in the recession in the mid 1990’s. Following this, he returned to accountancy, but this time practice accountancy and requalified in 1999, as a member of ACCA and is now a fellow of the Institute with the designatory letters FCCA after his name.
SAM DAY
Accountant
Sam joined the Armed Forces at 17 and served for 12 years as a medic, operating in multiple different theatres across the globe. While serving, he became a specialist in Counter Terrorism and Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Medicine. After starting a family he decided he was ready for a new challenge and more stability. Not wanting to miss his children's important milestones he left the Armed Forces in 2023 to pursue a career as an Accountant in the financial sector. Sam spent a lot of time shadowing and learning on-the-job under Geoff and is currently working towards his formal qualification.
